An expert pediatric gastroenterologist, Dr. Ashish Chogle has special interest in swallowing disorders, esophageal achalasia, refractory nausea, delayed gastric emptying, intestinal pseudo-obstruction, chronic constipation, anal dysfunction, cyclic vomiting syndrome and functional abdominal pain/irritable bowel syndrome. He uses a holistic approach based on the bio-psychosocial model for treatment of chronic conditions, with a goal to improve the patient’s quality of life.
On the forefront of the latest trends in medicine, Dr. Chogle is actively involved in clinical research studies to better understand gastrointestinal motility and functional GI disorders in children like abdominal pain, constipation, cyclic vomiting and delayed gastric emptying. Dr. Chogle has several peer-reviewed publications and book chapters to his credit. He has won the NASPGHAN Young Clinical Investigator Award and serves as a member of the NASPGHAN Neurogastroenterology & Motility Committee.
Dr. Chogle is board certified in pediatrics and gastroenterology. He attended medical school at Topiwala National Medical College in India. He received his residency training at State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center, Brooklyn. Dr. Chogle served his fellowship at Children’s Memorial Hospital, Chicago, Illinois. He speaks fluent Hindi and Marathi.
