Kara's Story
Kara, diagnosed with epilepsy, suffered from frequent seizures. Anti-seizure medications didn’t seem to help. Her CHOC doctors knew exactly what to do to treat her. Kara underwent neurosurgery at CHOC to remove the portion of her brain that was causing the seizures, and Kara hasn’t had a seizure since.
As Orange County’s premier pediatric healthcare system, CHOC has been committed to nurturing, advancing and protecting the well-being of children for over 50 years. Kara’s family is grateful for the care and attention their child received and they wanted to share their story to inspire others to help support CHOC’s lifesaving care, treatment and research.
