Biography
Layna Blurton is a board certified pediatric nurse practitioner as well as a board-certified lactation consultant. She was born and raised in a small town in Northern California. She went on to college where she received her Bachelors in Nursing at Hawaii Pacific University.
She then returned to California and worked as a pediatric intensive care nurse for 5 years at UC San Francisco and then Loma Linda Medical Center. She went on to get her certification as a lactation specialist from UC San Diego. She has worked for 7 years as a lactation specialist at Long Beach Memorial, specializing in the neonatal intensive care unit. During this time, she completed her masters and nurse practitioner training at California State University.
She lives in Long Beach with her husband, a pediatric cardiologist in the area, and her two children. She enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with her family.
