CHOC Achieves Coveted "Magnet" Status
In July 2008, CHOC Children’s was awarded “Magnet recognition,” the highest honor bestowed to a hospital for nursing excellence by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). CHOC now joins an elite group of hospitals nationwide. Only 24 children’s hospitals in this country have achieved this distinction. Magnet recognition honors healthcare organizations that demonstrate excellence in nursing practice and adherence to national standards for the organization and delivery of nursing services.
