It features stories about patients, donors, board members and community involvement; and news about guilds, events, Children's Miracle Network and hospital updates. It is mailed to donors who support CHOC with a gift of $50 or more. |
Kohl's donates $1 million to CHOC; becomes "Miracle Maker"
Since 2004, Kohl?s has generously supported CHOC, donating $1 million to CHOC Children?s through its Kohl?s Cares for Kids? program. Kohl?s partnership with CHOC seeks to improve the health of children through community outreach programs such as CHOC?s Mobile Safety House injury prevention program and the CHOC Breathmobile?.
Kohl?s also funded the creation of CHOC?s drowning prevention video, ?3 Tragic Seconds,? and its Orange County employees supported the CHOC/Disneyland? Resort Walk in the Park, Children?s Miracle Network Radiothon and Reach Out and Read literacy program in CHOC?s primary care clinics.
On April 18, Kohl?s will be the presenting sponsor at the Air Power Games? at Santa Ana College. The games give children ages 5 to 14 the chance to compete in athletics and learn how to excel despite having asthma and allergies.
Through its Kohl?s Cares for Kids? programs, Kohl?s strives to be an active member of each community where it does business. From injury prevention and immunization programs through hospital partnerships, Kohl?s directs time, effort and funding toward keeping kids healthy nationwide.
