Spiritual care services at CHOC Hospital

This short video will describe the Meditation and Prayer Center and spiritual care services available to you and your family members during your child’s visit at CHOC Hospital.

The meditation and prayer center is located on the second floor of the Bill Holmes Tower. Come in for quiet time.

Take or use the sacred texts from a variety of faiths; prayer rugs; rosaries; and daily bread readings.

Help yourself to reading materials on a variety of subjects.

If you have a prayer request, write it down and leave it in the prayer box on your way out.

A chaplain is at CHOC every day and also available 24 hours a day for urgent needs.

Chaplains provide spiritual care and emotional support during difficult times and decision-making. They can pray or meditate with you, perform or arrange a baptism and provide anointing of the sick, as well as other services. They can provide counsel and arrange visits with community clergy from your faith.

Services are offered in the meditation and prayer center throughout the week. Service times are posted outside the room.
