Please note that the CHOC Children’s Foundation, responsible for raising funds for CHOC Children’s, does not participate in door-to-door solicitations.  CHOC has received several phone calls from Orange County residents who have been approached at their homes by solicitors claiming to sell magazine subscriptions and/or books with the proceeds benefiting the hospital.  Homeowners are even given the option of donating the subscriptions to the children and families at CHOC, so they have reading materials when they are hospitalized.  CHOC has not approved this type of solicitation, and has not benefited in any way from such activity.  Please take the appropriate precautions when faced with solicitors at your doorstep.
