GOT TOYOTA'S 1000 CAR CHALLENGE BRINGS IN $25,000 FOR CHOC'S RADIO LOLLIPOP PROJECT
March 10, 2006

GOT Toyota, owner of Glendale and Tustin Toyota, recently presented a check for $25,000 to Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) in support of the hospital's Radio Lollipop project. GOT Toyota pledged to donate $25,000 if 1,000 new or pre-owned cars were sold between January 28-February 28, 2006. GOT Toyota President RJ Romero presented the check to CHOC representatives, including Radio Lollipop volunteers, and said, "We are happy to assist with such a great organization." The presentation was made with KIIS-FM's Morning Man Ryan Seacrest and Ellen K. Seacrest, top-rated morning radio show personality on 102.7 KIIS-FM and host of television's #1 show, "American Idol," is partnering with CHOC to assist in raising funds to bring Radio Lollipop, a hospital-based radio station, to the West Coast. CHOC is only the third hospital in the United States to be selected as a Radio Lollipop site. CHOC's Radio Lollipop studio will be located in the main hospital lobby and is expected to begin broadcasting two nights a week in the hospital, starting this summer. It is a volunteer-driven program that encourages interactive and imaginative play with children, and the hospital is currently recruiting interested volunteers. More information about CHOC Radio Lollipop can be found on the hospital's website at www.choc.org.
