news122114Hundreds of “hogs” showed up at Children’s Hospital of Orange County on Sunday, spreading good cheer and happiness.

The motorcyclists belonged to the Orange Coast Harley Owners Group, an organization of motorcycle riders that has been donating toys to the hospital in Orange for 20 years. On Sunday, 500 bikers and passengers contributed toys, CHOC spokeswoman Denise Almazan said.

The items are used throughout the year for birthdays, playrooms and “brave days,” when a child needs an extra boost, she said.

Yorba Linda criminal-defense attorney Ray Dinari leaned down to talk to Ryan Hansen, a 6-year-old leukemia patient awaiting a transplant. “I love you,” Dinari said with his Santa hat perched atop his motorcycle helmet.

“Santa loves everyone,” Ryan said.

“I love you especially,” Dinari replied.
