Palliative care in infants and children is a critical and evolving field.

Why should you attend?

Teaching and practicing require a distinctive mix of teaching methodology and tools. Through a combination of interactive panel based discussions, role playing, family interviews and formal didactics participants attending this workshop should be able to:

  • Review ethical principles related to complex clinical situations and decision making.
  • Follow practical self-care techniques to avoid caregiver burn out and compassion fatigue.

Sirisha Perugu, MD is the leader of neonatal palliative care at CHOC and is an EPEC (Education in Palliative and End of Life Care) Pediatrics Trainer. She obtained certification in Palliative Care Education and Practice at Harvard Medical School.
