We’ve developed these referral guidelines to guide you through the process of referring to CHOC Specialists Pulmonology.  Please follow the instructions provided in the guidelines to ensure qualification and appropriate process in referring your patient.

Our highly experienced, board-certified pulmonologists provide innovative and efficient care to improve the quality of life for children and their families.

  • Asthma
  • Pulmonary hypertension
  • Muscular dystrophy
  • Spinal muscular atrophy
  • Recurrent pneumonia
  • Pediatric sleep disorders/sleep apnea
  • Upper airway abnormalities
  • Infant apnea
  • Pulmonary complications of complex medical conditions
  • Rare lung disease and interstitial lung disease
  • Primary ciliary dyskinesia (PCD)
  • Chronic cough

  • Pediatric pulmonary function testing (including spirometry, lung volumes, diffusion capacity, and exercise stress testing)
  • Fiber optic bronchoscopy
  • Full respiratory care program with multiple options for bronchial clearance
  • Ongoing management of children with bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD)
  • Apnea diagnostic center and monitoring program
  • Cystic fibrosis care, research and treatment center
  • Home mechanical ventilation
  • CPAP/BIPAP
  • Sleep study/Polysomnography
