Presenter Bio: Join Dr. Sheila Modir, CHOC Pediatric Psychologist, author, and expert in Trauma-Informed Care principles and resilience tools, as she shares the truth of ACE screening implementation. Dr. Sheila Modir is a pediatric psychologist at CHOC Children’s Project HEALTH clinic and at CHOC in Mission Hospital. Dr. Modir recently co-authored a children’s book called The Proudest Color, and continues to present at conferences and publish articles on the topic of trauma, resilience, and racial justice.

- To discuss how to integrate ACE screening implementation into clinical workflow
- To identify barriers to ACE screening implementation and ways to manage these barriers
- To discuss effective and efficient ways of explaining ACEs, toxic stress, and stress busters to patients
