Admitting at CHOC at Mission Hospital

This short video will describe what you can expect during admission at CHOC at Mission Hospital.

After entering at the main entrance of Mission Hospital Tower One, proceed to the front desk. You’ll be directed to the main registration office.

Staff will ask you for your child’s name, a photo I-D and insurance card. They will also ask you for a cell phone number so that they can text you when it’s time for registration.

You can wait in the main lobby until you receive a text message with a desk number to meet with a registration staff member

Once you’re notified, the staff member will review your child’s contact and insurance information with you. You may be asked to pay your co-pay, deductible or out-of-pocket costs.

You can get your parking ticket validated at this time.

Your child will receive a wristband that they will wear throughout their visit.

If your child is here for a test or procedure, you will be given a passport and directed to the front desk.

If your child is being admitted to the fifth floor, a nurse will escort you.

For the safety of patients and staff, anyone who has been sick in the last 24 hours or has recently been exposed to measles, mumps or chicken pox cannot go with the patient.
