Dr. Geralyn Phillips, Pediatric Psychology
Dr. Phillips is a Southern California native who was born and raised in Orange County. She worked in the public sector for 15 years and has been in private practice for the last 12 years. Dr. Phillips also has a staff appointment in the Behavioral Health Department at the Mission Hospital campuses in Mission Viejo and Laguna Beach.
Dr. Phillips received her BA from UC Riverside and her master’s and PhD in clinical health psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology, Los Angeles (CSPP). While completing her PhD she also studied with the Gestalt Institute in Los Angeles and incorporates the Gestalt perspective when appropriate. Dr. Phillips currently serves as adjunct professor of psychodiagnostic assessment for the CSPP PhD program at Alliant International University in Los Angeles.
Dr. Phillips has trained at various community mental health facilities in the San Gabriel Valley and was awarded and completed an American Psychological Association (APA) internship at Pacific Clinics focusing on assessment and treatment of major mental illness in children, adolescents and adults. Dr. Phillips completed internships at Kaiser Permanente, San Bernardino and Fontana and co-led their outpatient eating disorder program. Dr. Phillips spent nearly six years at Hospice of Pasadena working with the dying, their families and the caregivers. She also began a Children and Teen’s grief support program.
