An expert geneticist for more than 20 years, Dr. Jay Gargus has special interests in channelopathies, migraine, autism, mitochondrial disease, inborn errors of metabolism, neurogenetics, and medical genetics. He has been published in more than 65 peer-reviewed journals and holds 3 the patents. Dr. Gargus is board certified in clinical genetics. Prior to joining CHOC, Dr. Gargus attended medical school at the Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut. He served his pediatric residency training and completed his fellowship in clinical genetics at the Yale University School of Medicine. Dr. Gargus was voted as one of Orange County’s Top Doctors.
