Outcomes: Physician Learners will be able to:

  1. Describe the metabolic/genetic approach to making diagnoses of rare diseases.
  2. Identify patients in their practices who may have a mitochondrial disease and refer for further evaluation.
  3. Use the story told by a family that experienced this process to better support and counsel patients in their practices who are facing the same situation.
