An educational dinner for clinicians and families
Infantile spasms should be considered a medical emergency due to the potentially devastating consequences on the developing brain, states Dr. Mary Zupanc, chair of Neurology at CHOC. Immediate treatment is critical because many children with infantile spasms go on to develop other forms of epilepsy and neurodevelopmental disabilities.
General practitioners, clinicians, families, and any others who care for infants are invited to attend.
