Outcomes: Physician Learners will be able to:

  • Recognize the different types of febrile seizures. Order an appropriate work-up, when indicated.
  • Identify what types of epilepsy occur at which age. Perform an appropriate diagnostic work-up for new onset seizures.
  • Counsel and educate families about seizure precautions.
  • Recognize common side effects of anti-seizure medications.
