Community Education

At CHOC, we are committed to taking a leadership role in ensuring the health and well-being of children and their families living in Orange County. We offer award-winning programs and services that promote health and well-being to children as they grow from birth through childhood and adolescence to adulthood.

Education Classes

The community education department offers a variety of classes and programs designed to keep you and your little ones safe including:

  • School programs which can be brought to your school or group at no cost.
  • Safe Sitter, a nationally accredited childcare course
  • Three Tragic Seconds Drowning Prevention Program
  • CPR for Family and Friends

Safety and Wellness Tips

Unintentional injury is the leading cause of death among children ages 14 and under, according to the National SAFE KIDS campaign. Although this death rate has declined over the years, children remain at risk for unintentional injury-related death and disability. Unfortunately, one in every four children each year suffers injuries that are serious enough to require medical attention.
