VOLUNTEER JOB DESCRIPTION

IMMUNOLOGY RESEARCH VOLUNTEER

SUMMARY:
Assist the scientific staff with general laboratory work and participation in research projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain the laboratory
  • Help science staff in making solutions
  • Help with literature searches
  • Order/Pick-up science articles at Burlew Library
NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be 18 years of age and older
  • Mature and friendly with a professional attitude and neat appearance
  • Able to follow directions and to work independently
  • Must sign a hospital confidentiality agreement
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to work well with others in a very busy environment

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Ability to stand, bend, and lift 25 pounds

Academic Bonus:
Will provide academic credit at Santa Ana Community College, UCI, Chapman, Fullerton and Long Beach College.
