Surgery at CHOC
::
Patient and Family Resources
CHOC Children’s provides family-centered care because we understand that when one family member is ill or is in need of surgery, the entire family is impacted. In an effort to provide our young patients and their families with compassion along with their care, we are proud to provide a variety of resources to help families stay strong and allow children to remain kids.
Preparing for surgery can be worrisome for patients and their families. Our comprehensive guides for before, during and after surgery make the process a lot less stressful.
We go the extra mile to ensure our short-stay patients in the preoperative unit feel comfortable and safe by providing child life and chaplain services.
If a picture is worth a thousand words, a video is worth even more. Learn more about what to expect the day of surgery and about our associates and patients experiences at CHOC.
Area Resource Guide
Whether a child will be at CHOC for the day or staying in our inpatient unit after surgery, it's nice to know the hotels, restaurants, stores and other services near the hospital.
