Working as a pediatric nurse at Children's Hospital of Orange County, Carol Cox found her white cap catching on oxygen tent zippers and other equipment. So she and the other ICU nurses decided to take off their hard-earned caps to better care for their patients. Today, Carol remains at the forefront, with a highly specialized certification as a pediatric critical care nurse. She believes the hospital encourages innovation and compassion, which fosters the high quality of care. At CHOC, we take our hat off to Carol. Because she took hers off first.
