It is mailed to donors who support CHOC with a gift of $50 or more. |
Disney VoluntEARS donate $5,000 to Pet Therapy
The Disneyland? Resort cast awarded CHOC Children?s $5,000 through its Disney VoluntEARS Community Fund. CHOC volunteer and Disney cast member Lynn Ehrenberg nominated CHOC for the award, which will be used for CHOC?s Pet Therapy program.
Cast members chose CHOC as one of 79 nonprofits being awarded this year in recognition of unique and innovative non-profit efforts that address critical challenges in local communities.
According to Emily Grankowski, Child Life special projects coordinator, ?the grant will be used for extras like special uniforms, trading cards, and training expenses for our Pet Therapy program. It will also go toward helping us reach our goal of having a canine volunteer on every floor, and in every unit, every day. We gratefully thank our friends from the Disney Cast VoluntEARS for supporting our efforts to bring even more smiles to the CHOC family!?
