It is mailed to donors who support CHOC with a gift of $50 or more. |
Circle of Friends luncheon honors CHOC supporters
In November, more than 200 CHOC Children?s supporters came together at the Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel for the second annual Circle of Friends luncheon?an event honoring donors that support CHOC with cumulative gifts of $10,000 or more annually. The luncheon also honored recipients of the Charley Award?an award named in honor of Charley Hester, a dedicated philanthropist who served on various boards of directors at CHOC from 1976?1994.
The 2008 Charley Award recipients included: Bob Leaverton, Outstanding Individual; CHOC Follies Tri-Chairs Leslie Cancellieri, Sandy Segerstrom Daniels and Dale Skiles, Outstanding Volunteers; Unihealth Foundation, Outstanding Foundation; Nick G. Anas, MD, Outstanding Medical Staff Member; The Annenberg Foundation, Outstanding Newcomer; Black & Decker? HHI Group, Outstanding Corporation; and Jeff Elghanayan, Outstanding Board Member.
The mission of the Circle of Friends is to advance philanthropy that supports patient care, teaching, research and advocacy through the education and recognition of the leading benefactors of CHOC Children?s.
