Make a Mark by Leaving a Lasting Legacy
PLANNED GIVING is a great way to make a gift you might otherwise have thought impossible. That?s because planned giving enables you to donate through your estate?maximizing the personal benefits of your charitable giving. Besides the philanthropic satisfaction of making a bequest to CHOC, there are important estate tax benefits that may provide you with the opportunity to give more than you thought possible. Every situation is different, but in general, your bequest to CHOC is fully deductible for federal tax purposes when certain legal conditions are met. We invite you to include Children?s Hospital of Orange County in your estate plan through your Will, a trust, gift annuity or retirement plan, and become a member of the Circle of Life Society. When you notify us of your intention to make a planned gift, you will be honored as a member of the Circle of Life Society. Each society member receives a gift of appreciation, invitations to the annual recognition dinner and other special events, as well as recognition in CHOC publications. For more information about the Circle of Life Society or to make a gift through your Will or estate plan, please contact Jeri Stathis at 714.532.8690 or jstathis@choc.org. Sample Language for a Specific Bequest to the CHOC Foundation for Children: A specific bequest gives a specific item or specific piece of property to the CHOC Foundation for Children. Such bequests are fulfilled first, before cash and residuary bequests. If the donor disposes of the specified property during his or her lifetime, there will be no bequest to the CHOC Foundation.
