On The Mark On the Mark is published three-times-a-year by the CHOC Foundation. It features patient highlights, physician spotlights, news about major gifts and upcoming events, construction updates, and fundraising stories and is mailed to donors who support CHOC with a gift of $50 and more. |
Barnes & Noble and Pat & Oscar?s Donate
Record Number of Books to CHOC
CHOC received 9,500 books collected last summer in a book drive sponsored by Barnes & Noble Booksellers and Pat & Oscar?s Restaurants. This is the largest number of books ever donated to the hospital at one time, and will benefit the hospital?s literacy program, which is affiliated with Reach Out & Read.
In exchange for donations at Barnes & Noble, patrons received a bookmark and coupon for one free kid?s meal at any Orange County Pat & Oscar?s. At the end of the book drive, Barnes & Noble topped off the patrons? donations with several hundred books.
