Event Raises $115,000 for ECMO Transport Unit
Dennis and Judy Hammond, owners of Resource Management Services, raised $115,000 at their annual Debt Connection Symposium to purchase an ECMO transportation unit for CHOC. ECMO stands for Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation, a special procedure that takes over the work of a baby?s sick or injured lungs so they can rest and heal. The unit will enable the CHOC Emergency Transport Services team to transport critically ill babies from other hospitals to CHOC.
This is the second year in a row the Hammonds invited symposium attendees to support CHOC. According to Judy, ?CHOC holds a very special place in our hearts and we cannot begin to thank all our wonderful colleagues for their support for this event.?
