Dr. Bruner Presiding over OCMA
Congratulations go to pediatrician Dawn L. Bruner, M.D., who began her one-year term as president of the Orange County Medical Association in mid-July. Dr. Bruner served on the OCMA board of directors for six years prior to being elected secretary/treasurer two years ago. She also has been a delegate to the annual California Medical Association convention, and served on the CHOC Ethics and Department of Medicine committees. Dr. Bruner is a board-certified pediatrician in general practice. She completed her pediatric residency training at CHOC and has been a member of the Medical Staff since 1987. She is in practice at Pediatric & Adult Medicine, Inc., in Tustin. To contact her, please call 714-565-7960.
"I urge every physician to become involved in the larger voice of medicine. It is easy to get caught up in our own practices or specialty associations, but physicians speak more powerfully as one voice," Dr. Bruner says. "OCMA advocates for physicians. It is a place where physicians can obtain advice if they have legal or political questions. The OCMA can help them pursue the questions they may have regarding making changes in the statewide process for their patients or for the profession of medicine."
