In Loving Hands
On November 27, over 100 medical professionals from CHOC and St. Joseph Hospital will donate their specialty services to provide free ear tubes, tonsillectomies and adenoidectomies to 40 children who are without health insurance. CHOC and St. Joseph Hospital are donating operating rooms and supplies.
Chronic middle ear infections, tonsillitis and enlarged tonsils are among the most prevalent medical disorders affecting children, posing a significant problem for the 8.5 million children without health insurance. In Loving Hands is a collaborative, community-based effort to help address the needs of Orange County children.
This wonderful project was brought forward by Dr. del Junco, otolaryngologist, who has spearheaded a similar event for the past three years in Northern California.
This In Loving Hands event is a prime example of the community coming together to tackle a problem. Without this effort, these children would not receive the care they so desperately need.CHOC salutes the many physicians, nurses and other professionals who are donating their time to this worthwhile project.
