Clinical Education
The Clinical Education Department in collaboration with CHOC leadership, develops and implements education opportunities that recognize the expertise and performance requirements of staff members engaged in the care of patients. These educational programs and opportunities include but are not limited to:
- Clinical staff orientation programs
- Education programs based on staff learning needs and the case mix and complexity of care required by patients and their families
- Specialty and Internship training programs
- American Heart Association training programs
- Educational opportunities for technical skill development
- Assessment of staff competencies
- Cross-Training
- Coordination of product in-services
- Instructional Design
- Curriculum Development
- Consultation and clinical support for professional development programs
- Advisor to the nursing and allied health schools, colleges, and universities and provide input into curriculum changes
- BRN Provider for Continuing Education Programs
