DR. CHRIS KOUTURES TO APPEAR ON AMERICAN HEALTH JOURNAL ON FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 27TH AT 5:30 P.M.

CHOC Children's pediatrician and sports medicine specialist, Chris Koutures, MD, will appear as an expert on the highly rated award-winning health care television program American Health Journal on PBS SoCal TV on Friday, September 27th at 5:30 p.m.  He will discuss the topic of concussions in children. 
 
Dr. Koutures attended medical school at University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he also completed both his internship and his residency. He served his fellowship in sports medicine at the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Koutures is American Board of Pediatrics certified in both general pediatrics and sports medicine. He is an elected member of the American Academy of Pediatrics Executive Committee on Sports Medicine and Fitness. He has authored many medical publications and regularly delivers sports medicine lectures.  Dr. Koutoures mentors residents at CHOC and is the medical director for the Athletic Training Education Program at Cal State Fullerton.
 
The recipient of more than 90 national and international awards, including 15 Telly Awards, American Health Journal airs on PBS and other national network affiliates that reach more than 30 million households.
