The Anaheim Ducks and CHOC Children’s have partnered together for a special family night dedicated to raising funds and awareness for CHOC on Sunday, March 14th at 5:05 p.m. That evening, the Anaheim Ducks and San Jose Sharks will meet at the Honda Center for what promises to be an exciting match-up - while supporting pediatric medicine. CHOC physicians and patients will share the spotlight with players that night as they join them on the ice during the anthem, at the puck drop, in addition to riding the Zamboni®.
Making NHL history, Ducks partners have donated their dasher boards to CHOC for the evening. These partners include: AAA; CenSource; Nusign; Hilton Anaheim; Citizens Business Bank; Del Taco; freecreditreport.com; Honda; Jack Daniels; Lucas Oil; Miller Lite; The National Hockey League (NHL); The Orange County Register; Pepsi; Prime Ticket; San Manuel Indian Bingo and Casino; State Farm; Time Warner Cable; Toyo Tires; and Travel Alberta. That night also kicks off “Pepsi Refresh Saves for CHOC,” for which Pepsi Refresh will make a donation to CHOC for each save made during the game, and throughout the remainder of the season.
"We are extremely pleased to be part of this special night," said Ducks Chief Marketing Officer Bob Wagner. "We are very grateful to our terrific partners for contributing to this great cause and lending signage that highlights CHOC 360 degrees around the ice!”
Community members can support “CHOC Night at Honda Center” in a variety of ways. Discounted tickets can be purchased online at http://www.choc.com/chocnight/ or by calling the CHOC Children’s Foundation at 714-532-8690. CHOC Night is the only time Ducks and CHOC supporters will have an opportunity to purchase, for $60, limited edition Herrington CHOCO bears, donning Ducks jerseys signed by Anaheim players. Proceeds from the sale of the game tickets and the bears will support the CHOC Children’s Orthopaedic Institute.
Additionally, anyone can make a $5 donation to CHOC by texting CHOC to 90999. Attendees at “CHOC Night” who participate in the texting or who stop by the CHOC table to make a minimum cash donation of $5 will be eligible for prizes.
