Experian, a global information services company, recently presented Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) with a check for $30,000 in support of the hospital’s Child Life Program. That total is expected to increase by year’s end with Experian’s participation in the CHOC/Disneyland Resort Walk in the Park, the hospital’s biggest fundraiser, on October 19th.
Experian’s donation to CHOC’s Child Life Program helps promote sensitive, family-centered healthcare for children and families. The Child Life Program is designed to help patients and family members cope with the hospital experience through therapeutic play, developmentally appropriate activities, and creative arts therapies. It also offers education, preparation for medical procedures, and emotional support during treatment and rehabilitation.
“Experian is truly honored to make the donation to Children’s Hospital of Orange County in support of the Child Life Program,” said Donald Girard, vice president of public affairs, Experian. “CHOC is an exceptional hospital and we commend the organization’s dedication and commitment to providing high quality medical care to children and families in Orange County.”
