BLIZZARDS BENEFIT CHOC IN AUGUST
July 31, 2007

When is a summer blizzard a good forecast for Orange County? When it benefits Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) on Thursday, August 9th during Miracle Treat Day, presented by Dairy Queen®. All proceeds from Blizzards purchased at participating Orange County Dairy Queens on August 9th will be donated to CHOC, as part of the Children's Miracle Network, a non-profit organization dedicated to saving and improving the lives of children by raising funds for children's hospitals.

In honor of Miracle Treat Day, Angels player Howie Kendrick and a Miracle Kid (CHOC patient) are scheduled to appear at the Santa Ana store (2121 N. Tustin Ave.) from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. In Mission Viejo (25882 El Paseo), Angels player Casey Kotchman will be joined by a Miracle Kid from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Last year on Miracle Treat Day, participating Dairy Queens throughout the United States and Canada raised more than $3.3 million, with all proceeds staying in local communities.

To find participating locations or to pledge to treat someone to a Blizzard on Miracle Treat Day, please visit www.miracletreatday.com. Orange County residents can also support CHOC by purchasing Children's Miracle Network balloons at participating Orange County Dairy Queens now through August 9th.
