CHOC VICE PRESIDENT HONORED BY NATIONAL HUMAN RESOURCES ASSOCIATION
March 22, 2006

The National Human Resources Association (NHRA) presented Theresa Gianfortune, vice president of human resources at Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC), with the Compassionate Excellence Award. Gianfortune was one of five finalists, from a selection of more than 700 senior executives from Orange County, honored recently at the 10th Annual Human Resources Executive of the Year Award Ceremony. As part of the selection process, the NHRA conducted extensive interviews and looked for tangible results in the following areas: innovation; enhancing the organization's effectiveness; making a meaningful contribution to Human Resources; exhibiting leadership; and impacting strategic initiatives and business results as part of the senior management team. The NHRA is a national non-profit organization of professionals engaged in Human Resources and related fields. In Orange County, the organization has grown to almost 400 active members.
