CHOC CHILDREN’S PRESIDENT AND CEO, KIMBERLY CRIPE, IN FINAL BALLOT FOR MODERN HEALTHCARE’S “100 MOST INFLUENTIAL PEOPLE IN HEALTHCARE” RECOGNITION
May 11, 2012

CHOC Children’s President and CEO, Kimberly Cripe, is in the final voting round for Modern Healthcare’s “100 Most Influential People in Healthcare” recognition. Modern Healthcare is a well-respected, weekly business publication covering the health care industry.

The magazine typically receives hundreds of thousands of nominations, which are culled to 300 for the final ballot for the recognition program. The selection of the "Top 100" is a combination of reader votes and votes by senior editors of Modern Healthcare.  Online voting for the final 100 is available through June 15th at  http://www.modernhealthcare.com/article/20120505/INFO/120509991.

Cripe recently celebrated her 20th anniversary at CHOC Children’s, with 15 of those years as President and CEO. During her tenure, Cripe has managed to elevate CHOC Children’s to a premier, nationally recognized children’s hospital.  Her never-ending passion and dedication to CHOC’s mission are apparent in all that she does.

Outside of CHOC, Cripe lends her time and expertise to various healthcare associations.  She has served as the board chair for the California Children’s Hospital Association, and as a board member for the Child Health Corporation of America (CHCA).  Most recently, she oversaw CHCA’s merger with the National Association of Children’s Hospitals and Related Institutions and its public policy affiliate.  The resulting organization, the Children’s Hospital Association, is structured to be more powerful, audible and influential on behalf of children’s health care needs in the nation.

A dedicated child advocate, Cripe is an appointed commissioner for the Children and Families Commission of Orange County (Prop 10), for which she currently serves as Chair Elect. Through her involvement with the Commission, she enjoys the unique opportunity to work with other community leaders to improve the lives of children.
