CHOC Children’s Hospital is proud to announce that its Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) has earned the 2012-2015 Gold Beacon Award for Critical Care Excellence, an award presented by the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN). CHOC Children’s is the only pediatric hospital on the West Coast to earn the Gold-level award. Overall, it is the third Beacon award for the hospital’s PICU. This recognition represents CHOC’s extraordinary commitment to high quality critical care standards, and dedication to the exceptional care of patients and their families.
