CHEVRON RAISING FUNDS FOR CHOC CHILDREN'S AUGUST 1-31
August 12, 2011

From August 1-31, Chevron gas stations and Food Marts in Orange County will be asking customers to purchase $1 Miracle Balloon icons to raise funds for CHOC Children’s, a Children’s Miracle Network Hospital®.

“Chevron is pleased to raise funds at its company-operated ExtraMile convenience stores and to also help drive awareness around CHOC's important mission and the life-saving services they provide to thousands of families in this region every year.  We are honored to support the hospital's commitment to offering high-quality care for children, “ stated Juan Garcia, Chevron’s regional public affairs manager.

The funds received from Chevron’s month-long campaign support medical care, research and education that saves and improves the lives of 17 million children treated at Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals each year, including CHOC.

About Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals: Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals® raises funds for 170 children’s hospitals across North America, which, in turn, use the money where it’s needed the most. Since 1983, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals has raised more than $4 billion, most of it $1 at a time. These donations have gone to support research and training, purchase equipment, and pay for uncompensated care, all in support of our mission to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
