CHOC APPOINTS EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT & CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) announces the appointment of Debra Mathias to the position of executive vice president and chief operating officer (COO). She will be responsible for the overall hospital operations at CHOC, including overseeing the hospital's master campus plan.

Kimberly Cripe, president and CEO at CHOC, says, "We are glad to have Debra join our organization and are confident, with her proven record of accomplishments and leadership, that she will play an integral part in CHOC’s continued growth and success."

Mathias brings over 20 years of executive healthcare management experience to CHOC. She has served as the senior vice president and chief operating officer of The Children's Hospital, Denver, which has been ranked one of the best children's hospitals in the nation by US News & World Report.

In addition to a bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Arizona, Mathias holds a master's degree in health administration from the University of Colorado.
