CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL OF ORANGE COUNTY FEATURED ON NEW TLC SHOW
August 03, 2006

Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) will be featured in an upcoming episode of The Learning Channel's (TLC) innovative new eight-part series, The Messengers. The episode, titled "Hope," is scheduled to air Sunday, August 13 at 10 p.m., with replays on Monday, August 14 at 2 a.m. and Sunday, August 20 at 2 p.m.

The Messengers conducts the search for America's next great motivational speaker. In each episode, contestants go on unique "field trips" seeking a profound experience to inspire their words. Following each trip, the contestants write and deliver a speech in front of a live studio audience.

The contestants arrived at CHOC in February 2006, and spent a day interacting with physicians, nurses, staff, patients and families. At the conclusion of their visit, contestants were asked to use CHOC as inspiration for a speech about "hope."
