Physician Bio

Dr. Hillyard attended medical school at the University of California, San Francisco. He completed both his internship and residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. He performed a Neonatal fellowship at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. He is affiliated with the American Academy of Pediatrics. His honors include the Munzer family Award for excellence in research and teaching. Dr. Hillyard is board certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine. His philosophy of care is having the privilege to be trusted with the care of your child. His special interests include a wide range of critically ill newborns including those with extreme prematurely, congenital heart disease and severe pulmonary hypertension. He has produced both basic science and clinical research, and is actively teaching newborn critical care and in the CHOC residency and fellowship programs.
