Richard Gates, M.D., F.A.C.C., F.A.C.S. is Director, Cardiothoracic Surgery of The CHOC Children's Heart Institute. He received his cardiothoracic training at the UCLA Medical Center, as well as a fellowship in Pediatric Cardiac Surgery and Heart-Lung transplantation. He received his medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine and completed his General Surgery training at Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital in New York City. Dr. Gates speaks fluent Spanish.Education
