Physician Bio

Sanford Schneider, M.D. FAAN, FAAP, provides care for the full range of neurological conditions. He is board certified in Child Neurology, Neurology, Neurodevelopmental Disabilities, and Pediatrics. Dr. Schneider completed medical school at the New York University School of Medicine in New York and interned at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. He completed his pediatric residency at Babies Hospital, Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York followed by a pediatric neurology and neurology fellowship at the Neurological Institute of Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center, New York.

Dr. Schneider was the former Professor and Director of the Division of Child Neurology at the Loma Linda School of Medicine, Loma Linda, California and was the Presbyterian Health Professor and Director of the Division of Child Neurology at the University of Oklahoma School of Medicine, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He is presently Clinical Professor of Neurology and Pediatrics, Loma Linda University School of Medicine. Dr. Schneider was elected as a Fellow of the American Neurological Association, and is a Fellow of both the American Academies of Neurology and Pediatrics. He is scheduled to receive the New York University School of Medicine Alumni of the Year Award in October, 2007.

Dr. Schneider has special interest in neurological disorders, particularly epilepsy, headache, and genetic disorders of children and adolescents until the age of 18.
