Physician Bio

Doctor Wohlgemuth graduated from Tufts University School of Medicine in 1978. He then completed internship training at the University of California at San Diego and his Residency training in head and neck surgery at UCLA. He also studied neurology at the National Institute of Neurology, Queen Square, London, England from 1979-1980. Doctor Wohlgemuth is Board Certified through the American Board of Otolaryngology and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is also a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. Doctor Wohlgemuth has served as the Chief of Otolaryngology at Mission Hospital and Saddleback Hospital. He has also served as Chairman of the Credentials Committee, Chairman of the Bylaws Committee and Chief of Staff at Mission Hospital. Doctor Wohlgemuth was selected in 2000 and 2002 as one of the "Best Doctors" in his specialty by Consumers' Guide to Top Doctors. In 2005, Dr. Wohlgemuth was awarded the "Values in Action Award" for Dignity by both Mission Hospital and the St. Joseph Health System. His areas of interest are adult head and neck oncology, endocrine surgery and sinus disease. He has a subspecialty interest in snoring and sleep disorders.
