Physician / Researcher Bio

Dr. Chang received her Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Pennsylvania State University. She completed her postdoctoral training at Penn State and Case Western Reserve Universities before joining CHOC. She conducts hematology research with a focus on megakaryocytopoiesis and thrombocytopoiesis in immune thrombocytopenia, hematopoietic cytokines and their effect on stem cell development and immune modulation. Dr. Chang is also a licensed Clinical Laboratory Scientist in Genetic Molecular Biology and operates the flow cytometry core facility at CHOC.
