How to Address Behavior Issues in Obesity

Symposium Outcomes: At the conclusion of the symposium, the physician learner will be able to:
1.Assess the cultural context of obese patients when providing easy to follow behavior modification, exercise recommendations and nutritional advice (AB1195).
2.Use simple tools presented to improve management in office of obese patients.
3.Provide timely and effective management of patients with obesity related co-morbidities.

Due to limited seating,symposium registration required. 

Target Audience: Primary care pediatricians. Family practitioners, Pediatric subspecialists, Pediatric residents and other healthcare professionals involved in the delivery of care to infants and children are also invited.

Accreditation: CHOC is accredited by the Institute for Medical Quality/California Medical Association (IMQ/CMA) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Credit Designation: CHOC designates this live activity for a maximum of 1.0 hour of AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.  

This credit may also be applied to the CMA Certification in Continuing Medical Education.
