Outcomes: Physician Learners will be able to:

  1. Make the diagnosis of Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder by recognizing its various clinical presentations.
  2. Clinically differentiate this from minor eating problems (e.g. picky eater) and serious disorders such as anorexia nervosa.
  3. Counsel and educate families so that they understand the need for desensitization therapy to treat this disorder.
