Welcome to CHOCO’s Toy Chest
Play experiences can help children to cope and adjust to illness and hospitalization. Play is one way the CHOC and CHOC at Mission Child Life Specialists meet the developmental, psychosocial, emotional, and educational needs of our patients.

Our goal is to align your donations with our needs. Due to our limited storage and specific patient needs we ask donors to chose items listed on "CHOCO's Wish List" only.

You can also donate cash and gift cards for CHOC to purchase items most needed for our current patients.

Please note: In the hospital, infection is always a risk. In order to protect our patients, all toys, stuffed animals, and donated items must be new. Also, due to patient confidentiality and infection control, donors are not able to deliver gifts or give parties for the children.

Due to recent toy recalls, we encourage donors to consider gift cards instead of toy donations.

Please send gift cards, gift certificates or cash donations designated for toys, games, crafts or books to:

Or you can drop them off at the hospital’s main lobby information desk. At that time you will receive a letter acknowledging your gift.

CHOC reserves the right to exchange toy donations for toys or games most urgently needed for our patients.
