The CHOC Information Systems Department (commonly referred to as ISD) provides for and assures high quality, consistent and reliable uptime for systems critical to patient care and business operations at all of CHOC’s on- and off-campus facilities. We provide Helpdesk support, desktop and network services, clinical informaticist services and project management services.
Our staff’s expertise is maintained and evaluated through inservice education, training and outside education. As new software, services and equipment are continually added to keep CHOC at the cutting-edge of technology, we pride ourselves on remaining up-to-date and able to provide quick and thorough service to our customers.
Our team has accomplished many challenging and exciting endeavors including the electronic conversion of medical records and charting processes, implementation of a laptop lending service for our patients’ families so that they can stay connected to work and family during their stay at CHOC, and remote, real-time access to the classroom for qualified, long-term patients.
We feature a dynamic team of individuals who are proud to play an important role in the quality and availability of high-technology at the hospital.
