The CHOC Children's Foundation exists to generate community awareness and resources for CHOC Children's and CHOC Children's at Mission Hospital, supporting specific strategies that underscore the hospitals’ local and national leadership in prevention, treatment and research programs. Our fundraising activities are guided by six philanthropic aspirations: to provide quality medical care for all children; to treat chronic and catastrophic illnesses; to emphasize illness and injury prevention; to support the well-being of children; to achieve medical breakthroughs; and to serve as a community leader and partner in the care of children.
We seek financial support from individuals, corporations and foundations and do this through direct mail and personal solicitation, strategic business partnerships, grant proposals and fundraising events. We also oversee the CHOC Guilds -- outside fundraising groups who host local events to raise funds for CHOC, CHOC’s annual million-dollar fundraiser, the CHOC/Disneyland Resort Walk in the Park, and CHOC’s role as a Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) hospital.
Our team features a high-energy group of individuals of all ages and levels of fundraising experience. We feature many sub-departments within the Foundation including Annual Giving, Planned Giving, Special Events, Cause Marketing, Donor Services and Recognition and many more. We are also privileged to have the unique opportunity to create long-lasting relationships with individuals, families and business leaders who share a common faith in CHOC and understand the important role our hospital plays in the community.
